Guiding SCED’s Work Through 2028
SCED’s 2025–2028 Strategic Plan provides a clear roadmap for how we will serve our region, support small businesses, strengthen partnerships, and invest in long-term economic resilience. The plan is built around four strategic priorities:
Capital Access
Expanding loan programs, attracting new funding, and strengthening portfolio performance so small businesses can access the financing they need to grow.
Regional Planning
Advancing the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, coordinating partners across the four-county district, and serving as the region’s hub for economic development planning.
Project Implementation
Supporting community and regional initiatives that align with the CEDS, securing external funding, and helping partners move important projects from concept to completion.
Organizational Strength
Strengthening SCED’s internal operations, professional development, and governance to ensure long-term sustainability, accountability, and effectiveness.
Together, these priorities help SCED stay focused on its core economic development goals: creating and retaining jobs, strengthening the regional tax base, and enhancing community wealth.
