• The North State Jobs First Strategies and Activities document summarizes progress and lessons learned from the North State Jobs First journey as of September 2026. It provides an overview of the breadth of work, partnerships, and investments that have emerged through this effort.

• $7.9 Million EDA Grant for Stillwater Business Park. The City of Redding has been awarded a $7.9 million grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) for infrastructure improvements at Stillwater Business Park. The funding will extend Venture Parkway from Parcel 12 to Parcel 16, opening additional sites for business development, private investment, and future job creation. The Stillwater project needed to align with the regional CEDS for the City to compete for EDA funding. Having a strong, current CEDS helps ensure that priority projects across our region are positioned to pursue federal investment opportunities like this one.

• The California Prospector Regional Data Tool is an interactive platform for exploring and comparing California regions using demographic, workforce, income, business, and economic data. Users can review regional profiles and maps to support economic development planning, business recruitment, and site-selection decisions.

• Economic Impact of Water Availability Loss and Estimated Effects on Siskiyou County Economy  - The draft analysis finds that state-imposed water curtailments could significantly harm agriculture and the broader economy in Siskiyou County’s Scott and Shasta Valleys. A 30% curtailment is estimated to result in approximately $154 million in combined annual business revenue losses, 527 lost jobs, and $2.15 million in lost state and local tax revenue, with longer-term risks to farm viability, land values, and rural communities.

• California’s Joint Strategy for Sustainable Outdoor Recreation & Wildfire Resilience - This Joint Strategy, developed by the Task Force Sustainable & Accessible Recreation Key Working Group, provides a roadmap for improved access to sustainable outdoor recreation, with a focus on areas where wildfires are impacting those opportunities throughout California.
